WHISTLES LEXICON INSTRUMENTSThe bodhrán is an irish drum. Its origins are uncertain but it has probably begun its existence by extracting peat... It can be compared with the daf in Iran or the bendir in Morocco. It is composed by a single goat skin, tightened on a wooden circular frame. The skin is hit by a stick . The hand that holds the instrument can also make vary the tension of the skin and then modifies the sound.
