It is a scottish bagpipe similar to
the Border pipe
but this time the bag will be inflated with mouth (mouthblown) instead of bellows. The loudness, the sound itself and a chromatic chanter are in fact close to those of the Border pipe. The general look, the position of the drones (one bass and two tenors) on the shoulder and their loudness remind us of
the Great Highland Bagpipe.
The bagpipe is tuned in A (chanter and all drones) and made of mopane and boxwood.

Its reduced sound level allows it to play with many instruments like the fiddle,
the whistle
or the guitar in folk bands.
